Painshill Park Weddings, Cobham, Surrey - Katie and Tim: Surrey Wedding Photographers

Good Afternoon Folks,

An early post for the latter part of the week as I am out and about photographing weddings this weekend!

We had a lovely summer wedding with Katie and Tim and what a difference a week makes; honestly there is no gauging the weather in this country!  It does make for a real variety for the photography though and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Katie and Tim were married at St Luke's Church in Kingston upon Thames; the church was just lovely inside and I would like to say a big thank you to the Vicar for being so accommodating as he allowed me to capture a really beautiful image of Katie after the service; she looks wonderful and I want her to be the first to see it.  It was then to Painshill Park for a reception to top all receptions.  The organisation of their whole wedding was exceptional and I really take my hat off the Katie and Tim.  I was also so impressed with Touch of Taste, the food was wonderful, the service magnificent and that is no mean feat when catering for 208 guests.  When we arrived, the Painshill Park team were waiting for us in the buggy to whisk around the extensive park for Katie and Tim's Bride and Groom portraiture.  When we finished a call was made to ensure that Katie and Tim's drinks requests were ready for their arrival, now that's service folks!

I am posting four images today, the first is on the bridge that caught my eye the first time I visited the park; it reminds me of the Millennium Bridge in London and I loved the architectural lines, come what may drama had to be created there and this is just one of a few taken at that location. The second image is of the London Routemaster buses; Katie works for this company and they had two to transport the guests for the day, the contrasting colours and undulating landscape made for a striking image.   The third shows what I like to call the wedding cake, again I just loved this when I first saw it and last but not least a bit of romance amongst the grape vines!

Enjoy the weekend everyone and it is finally here; the London Olympics, so wherever you are watching it, have fun and enjoy this amazing bit of history being made.

Felbridge Hotel, East Grinstead, West Sussex - Adele and Andy: West Sussex Wedding Photographers

A sunny and warm hello today!

I recently photographed the wedding of Andy and Adele at the Felbridge Hotel in East Grinstead, West Sussex.  I must say the weather has been particularly bad this year but the continuous rain was just the limit on their day.  We did manage to venture outside to capture the group shots but that really was about as much as we could do.

It really does make a difference when you have a venue that has so many interesting features and lighting indoors, so we were able to have as much fun inside and really make the most of what the Felbridge Hotel has to offer; so we said pah to the rain!!!

I always say to my lovely couples that it really does not matter is the rain falls on your big day.  Whatever the weather throws as us (and it does, believe me) the day will be special, wonderful and full of happy memories because it is the day that you make your vows to each other and share your happiness with your family and friends who are so special to you.

I have chosen three images today; the first is in the ceremony room, the second is a shared romantic moment and the third is utilising the very interesting lighting in the bar.

Enjoy the sunny week; I am busily working away editing the weekend's weddings!

All Saint's Church, Brenchley, Kent - Alice and David: Kent Wedding Photographers

Good Afternoon Folks,

Hope this week is treating you well so far?  I recently met up with Alice and David for their pre-wedding shoot at All Saint's Church, Brenchley, Kent.

We had a great time exploring the wonderful grounds and all the formal photography along with their bride and groom portraiture is going to take place here.  They are having their reception at the local cricket club with a marquee on the lawn and I love the ideas they have for their wedding, which is going to be centred on a festival theme.  It is only a short hop, skip and a jump from the church to the reception but there are some magnificent views along the way; happy days :)

I am posting three images today, the first is introducing the wonderful Baxter who was most preterbed at being made to walk on the opposite side to normal!  Then on to a very romantic shot, but you should see the shots either side of this, all I can say is there were peals of laughter all round and lastly a sneaky peek at those magnificent views.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone and keep any eye out for a few images from Andy and Adele's wedding next week.

Newborn and Children Photography Tunbridge Wells and East Grinstead - Frankie and Calley

Good Morning to everyone in the world of blogs :)

Recently I photographed a newborn session with the gorgeous Frankie; he was one chilled out little man.  The atmosphere during these sessions is one of peace and calm and everything is done slowly, quietly and deliberately so that the lovely newborn never senses any urgency or strain.  You will be surprised at how much the little ones can pick up and I always come away feeling very tranquil!

I then photographed the gorgeous Calley; she was so patient during Frankie's session; I absolutely adore the hat she was wearing when I met her so it was a must for her photography.

Today I am posting three images; the first if of Frankie really chillin' and I just love how malleable babies are at this stage, Frankie was only one week old.  The second is a close up of his gorgeousness and last but by no means least is the beautiful Calley.  She has the most amazing eyes and to die for curls.

I had a wonderfully wet wedding on Saturday, it is not worth moaning about the weather anymore I think we should embrace the rain and have fun; and fun we had too,

Today sees the Olympic torch coming to East Grinstead so I am hoping to pop out later to see if  I can capture anything.  If I am successful I will pop a post on here.

Enjoy your week folks and I will blog some images of Andy and Adele later in the week.

Amy's Headhsots: Actors Headshots West Sussex Photographers

Good Morning Folks,

I thought it was high time I posted some studio work with a sprinkling of location work today!  Recently I photographed the stunningly beautiful Amy as she needed some new headshots and more imagery for her portfolio.  Amy is a budding actor, she has done loads of theatre but you may have seen her popping up in the Aviva adverts.  She is a very talented young lady with a lovely personality so I think we will be seeing much more of our Amy in the future.

I am posting a three images today; two from the session we had in the studio and one on location.  We went to another location where I was able to capture an image for my secret project so it was happy days all round.

Have a great weekend and whatever you are up to, take a raincoat; how droll am I.....not!!

Lovely thank you cards :):West Sussex Wedding Photographers

Good Afternoon Folks,

Today I thought I would share two thank you cards received this week; it so nice to receive some feedback from my lovely couples and their kind words never fail to bring a tear to my eye.

It is truly a pleasure to be part of such a special day when two people make a commitment to each other, and I feel so lucky to witness so much of the day and emotion.

Thank  you once again for all your kind words; just need to compose myself now!!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend; no weddings for me this week and I am making sure that I am up to date with everything before my July weddings start in earnest.  I have a bump shoot to edit and some albums to design, so I had better stop being so sentimental and crack on!

Slaugham Place, Slaugham, West Sussex - Charlotte and Craig: West Sussex Wedding Photographers

Good Afternoon All,

A little bit late in the week for my first post so apologies for that, I had a family day at Thorpe Park on Monday with thrill rides galore.  We had a competition on one ride to see who could hold their hands in the air the longest without being branded a 'wuss' and I am pleased to say it was a draw!

I recently had a great albeit squelchy pre-wedding shoot with Charlotte and Craig at Slaugham Place, Slaugham, West Sussex.  This is a beautiful marquee venue with absolutely gorgeous ruins; there is also a majestic lake to one side with weeping willows a plenty so set off the rich and lustrous ruins on the other side; just amazing.  The marquee stays at the venue for the duration of the wedding season and I was particularly impressed with the fact that they replace the carpet before each wedding.  It really is the little things that catch my eye, but how lovely is that.

I had great fun with Charlotte and Craig and we have planned lots of stuff for their wedding with one shot in particular that if all goes well will be a little bit different.  It is a twist of something, that is all I am saying at the moment and is entirely dependent on the weather!

Today sees three images; the first shows the ruins, the second is a little moment of laughter also at the ruins and the third was taken in a folly that provided us with lots of opportunities and we capturesd some great stuff there.  I was umming and ahhing whether or not to pop the lake shot up too, and do you know what ,I think that it is always nice to keep something back!

Friday tomorrow folks, so whatever the weekend brings have loads of fun.
