Baby Photography Tunbridge Wells Kent - Thomas

Good Afternoon Folks,

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous little man; he was such a good boy for the whole session; it was giggles and smiles in abundance.

I first met Mummy who was a guest at a wedding I photographed a couple of years ago and it was really lovely to catch up with her and to meet little Thomas for the first time.

I really love photographing babies at this age; it is so completely different to newborn photography.  At this stage in their little lives they are sitting up unaided, everything in the world is exciting and wonderful and deserves their full attention!  There is nothing like a gorgeous little baby who just giggles and laughs.

Today I am posting just two images and apologies for the heavy watermarking.  The first image is of Thomas having a thoughtful moment in the basket and I have chosen this because he looks like he is having a power nap!  The second image of today demonstrates why I love this stage; it all smiles and chubby cheeks...just lovely.

So how did we all cope with that onslaught of snow; luckily for me I was able to stay indoors and edit this week's wedding...phew!

Have a great week all,

Claire :)

East Grinstead Baby Photography - Charlotte: West Sussex Baby Photographers

Good Morning and a Happy New Year to you all,

So I am starting the new year with a real cutie called Charlotte; I photographed her Mummy and Daddy's wedding four years ago so I was lovely to see Catherine again.

There is something really special when you have a job that enables you to share in the joy of the happiest milestones in your clients' lives and I often think that the profession I am in must be one of the very few to enjoy this.

Charlotte is 12 weeks in this image and it is quite incredible how little ones change so rapidly from newborn to little babies.  I do love the newborn stage,  this is so short lived and the ideal time to photograph your little ones is in the first two weeks after birth.  Once this very brief stage has passed, your little one's muscles will start to develop and their neck strength will develop day by day. Their eyesight will also start to develop quite rapidly too, so capturing those serene images does become harder because they have the ability to observe much more the world that surrounds them.  It always amazes me how short a time being newborn really is and when I see these little marvels for their next session it is hard to believe they were ever that small; a little bit sad but lovely at the same time, because they are developing and growing into bonny babies!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year;  I spent time with my family and friends, some who I have not seen for quite some time due to work commitments so it was really good to kick back, eat chocolate and be merry :)

One last thing, it's not raining....hurrah!!!!!

Grace: Baby Photographers East Grinstead West Sussex

Good Afternoon,

I had a great session photographing beautiful Grace, she is such a yummy little girly all I wanted to do was give her a big cuddle! I first met Grace when she was in her Mummy's tummy and again when she was a month old. She is now 6 months old and such a bonny little girl; this session had to be split into two because she had enough and the mood we needed for the shots she was not prepared to do. She is a girly who knows her own mind so it was back today for part two with Daddy who makes the most wonderful assistant. He never fails to bring a lump to my throat when he talks to his baby girl; I just know I am going to blub during the edit! I am also very excited as she is going to be part of my secret project.

I have posted two images of Grace today, one very solemn moment and another showing her pink frilly dress and gorgeous feet to perfection.

Enjoy your weekend everyone and if you want to pop along and say hello I will be at the Alexander House Wedding Fayre this Sunday 29th. I don't know if you have gathered but I do like a good chat!!

Grace: West Sussex Newborn Photography

Good Morning,

I recently photographed Grace's newborn session and it was so lovely to meet her having photographed her as a bump! She was about 2 1/2 weeks old in these images and I was really surprised by the strength that she had for one so young. I have chosen these images as she looks so unfazed by the whole experience and is just chillin'.

Have a great week everyone, the Autumn colours are really starting now so hopefully we will see some glorious hues soon.

July - From Peanut to Eva

I had the privilege of photographing Baby Eva as part of my Bump to One Year project yesterday. Here are some images from the session with a DVD Slideshow. She was gorgeous and her hair is so lovely for one so young. Eva is 1 month now, so her next session will be at four months. As usual I set myself limits and this time the session took place in the studio; it was a low key setting and I used one studio light with softbox and one fill light. The lights were not moved during the session; with little ones you just need to capture the moment!

July - Gemma and Peanut

Gemma is part of my bump to one year project and here are some images of her when she was still pregnant with Peanut. Peanut is now the lovely Eva and I had the great pleasure of photographing her today with Gemma; she is gorgeous with beautiful luscious hair. When I photographed Gemma, I set myself the goal of using natural light, one studio light with softbox and a torch in Gemma's home to see what I could come up with. I will post some images of Eva with a DVD Slideshow tomorrow.

May - From Teapot to Max!

As you know I am following Max from bump to one year, here are a few images from our session and a link to a DVD Slideshow. The aim was to use only natural light; no reflectors or artificial light of any kind to see what I could come up with and here it is. I have included a dummy image, feeding image and some with milk on his face. I like to include these and in years to come they will also be moments to cherish and remember.
